What is One Tree Planted?

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As an environmental charity, we’re on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees!

Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. They also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines.

Why they are Awesome

  • Starting with a project of just 20,000 planted tree back in 2014, last year (2019) One Tree Planted was able to plant 4,010,962 trees.

  • We planted over 4 million trees - more than 1.8 million in North America, 1.2 million in Africa, 465,000 in Asia, and 423,000 in Latin America.
